Warren Majors
Warren Majors, or Ren, is a major antagonist of the Buzzutsu Kaisen series and the current vessel of Envy. He is the middle Majors triplet and brother of Melanie and Caspian.
Appearance
Warren has a tall and skinny build with messy blond hair and blue eyes. After combining with Envy, he is able to dissipate his body into a pitch-black shadow.
Personality
Outwardly, Warren appears to be a gloomy person with a cynicism for life. He prefers to keep his feelings to himself, and not even his closest friends have been able to pry them from him. In truth, he has lost touch with his humanity since losing his family and recreating his siblings as spirits. His ability to create spirits causes him to view them no differently from humans. After learning the truth about his family's deaths at the hands of Mr. C and the Olobukuns, he swore to exact revenge against the humans and usher in an era of spirits on the earth. His feelings of envy towards humankind are exacerbated by Envy's influence.
Warren is envious that spirits are forced to live in despair on the Earth while humans are able to live peaceful lives.
Abilities and Powers
Buzzutsu
Prior to the Incident, Warren possessed the cursed technique “Brain Nourishment” which granted him the ability to dissipate negative emotions. However, the Incident twisted something within Warren: instead of dispelling cursed spirits, he began perpetually generating them from an aura of vile, offensive, and demented opinions.
What once was “Brain Nourishment” is now “Brain Rot.” This technique allows Warren to spawn cursed spirits from his own negative opinions and corrupt the minds of others. Exposure to his twisted thoughts will lead to total neuronal brain death.
His domain expansion, “Final Penance” not only expands his Brain Rot aura to a large area, but also subjects all those within it to face manifestations of their past trauma. Lower-level sorcerers and civilians caught in his domain will die nearly instantaneously due to the effects of Brain Rot. Higher-level sorcerers can defend themselves through their simple domain or brain-reinforcement but will have their cursed techniques stripped as "penance" for their past sins. Total failure to defend yourself against this domain allows for it to use it's true effect: corruption. The true effect of the domain corrupts sorcerers and turns them into cursed spirits. Warren can manifest cursed spirits from scratch using his Brain Rot, but because his domain corrupts and does not create, he is unable to permanently turn a sorcerer into a cursed spirit. His domain essentially pumps the opponents body full of cursed energy (more than the body is able to reasonably maintain) thus becoming more curse than human.
The corruption can be terminated under the following conditions:
1. If the opponent is no longer able to withstand the cursed energy, they will die and the corruption will end as a result.
2. If the opponent is able to withstand the cursed energy, the corruption will end when their body naturally dispels all of the added cursed energy. The time it takes for the cursed energy to be dispelled depends on the sorcerers proficiency with cursed energy.
3. The corruption will cease if Warren is killed or is hit with a domain expansion.
