COVID-19
COVID-19, also known as Contagion or simply COVID, is an antagonist of the Buzzutsu Kaisen series. Since its appearance thousands of years ago, it has evolved and wrought havoc on Earth every few centuries. A few years ago, its latest iteration, COVID-19, was born and began its 2-year-long rampage.
Appearance
COVID-19 has the build of Sigma from Overwatch and is surrounded by virus-shaped balls. There are also multiple growths on the body in the shape of the virus.
Personality
Despite its immense power, COVID appears to have lost its mind after so many years on Earth, operating on pure killing instinct.

Buzzutsu
The cursed techniques of COVID have changed since its last evolution, but the effects are just as deadly. Anti-Vax inflicts a deadly and rapidly spreading poison to any who come in contact with the technique. This technique is incurable and resistant to the healing effects of reverse cursed techniques.

The war on COVID-19 was fierce and claimed the lives of many. Its power seemed insurmountable until our greatest Buzzutsu sorcerers gathered to battle the cursed spirit, vanquishing it after days of conflict. After its defeat, we began to investigate the cause of COVID’s return. Records show that every prior evolution of COVID was brought on by some sort of catalyst. We had previously suspected Eric to have been the catalyst for this iteration, but the arrival of COVID was many years before Eric’s corruption and Eric’s betrayal prior to the Incident is unlikely. Eric is still our only suspect, as all other leads have run cold.
