John Briggs, known by his students as Coach Briggs or simply Coach, is a side character of the Buzzutsu Kaisen series. He is the current combat instructor of Buzzutsu Academy.

Appearance

Coach Briggs is a large man with well-defined muscles all over his body. He has cropped black hair and brown eyes.

Personality

Coach Briggs has a larger than life personality, constantly joking with his students and peers while pushing them as hard as they can go. Although he doesn't seem it at first glance, Coach has a very high battle IQ and his intelligence is respected by his fellow staff.

Abilities and Powers

Buzzutsu

Coach Briggs’ Weight Manipulation technique allows him to alter the weight of anything he touches. He can do this to lift large objects like they’re nothing, or to turn lightweight objects into incredibly dense, devastating weapons. The larger an object is in size, the harder it is to manipulate. For example, a coffee cup’s weight can be altered with much less effort than a building.

Coach’s domain expansion, Muscle Beach, crushes anyone caught in it with Coach’s PR of 25 tons, or 50,000 pounds. In theory, you could collapse this domain by successfully lifting the weight, but there are no cursed spirits or sorcerers alive remotely close to being that strong. The only counter to this domain is another domain expansion or a simple domain.
