Troy Demasters, also known as T-Dog, is the main protagonist of the Buzzutsu Kaisen series. After surviving the Incident, Troy began attending Buzzutsu Academy alongside Diego de la Vega and Nicole Brooks as first-year students.

Appearance

Troy is a young man of average height with a lean and muscular physique. He has hazel-colored eyes and wavy, light brown hair parted in the middle.

Personality

Though Troy is an incredibly determined individual, he has a tendency to experience mood swings related to the guilt of not saving his friends during the Incident: Jack, Warren, Melanie, and Caspian. He is self-doubting and experiences impostor syndrome, frequently blaming himself for anything that goes wrong on a mission. While Troy has suffered greatly, he inspires his fellow buzzutsu sorcerers to be the best versions of themselves.

He is a somewhat naive person, and can be kind to a fault. He once apologized to a rock for kicking it. He thinks all life is inherently valuable and anyone can be redeemed, so long as one is not a cursed spirit. He detests cursed spirits, blaming them for the deaths of his friends and countless other humans.

Abilities and Powers

Buzzutsu

Innate Technique
Medal Armor: Troy’s “Medal Armor” technique coats his skin with different levels of armor depending on his performance in battle. His Medal Armor has three levels: Bronze, Silver, and Gold. As a battle goes on, T-Dog can rank up to the next armor level by performing sufficiently well in combat. Armor grants Troy improved strength, durability, and stamina. However, if Troy suffers too much damage he will de-rank to the previous armor level. Depending on the severity of the attack, Troy can even break out of more than one rank at once. It is rumored that there is a fourth rank—Midnight Steel—but T-Dog has been unable to summon this armor on command.

Thermal Conductivity: Troy can use his technique to withstand severe changes in temperatures, as well as to conduct thermal energy into objects he touches.
Domain Expansion
Realm of the Reigning Champion: Applies a sure-hit effect to Troy which bypasses his technique's performance system. This effect grants Troy the status of “reigning champion," automatically granting him gold rank armor that cannot be broken.

Reverse Cursed Technique: With enough training and cursed energy, Troy can use reverse cursed technique to apply the sure-hit effect of his domain to his opponent, imposing a performance system on their cursed energy which would diminish their cursed energy output if they were to miss or get hit by an attack. However, this is a very high-risk, high-reward technique as this reversal does risk the opponent increasing their cursed energy if they do perform well in combat. Visually, the domain appears as a massive coliseum made of white and gold marble, surrounded by shattered floating statues of various champions. The coliseum is surrounded by an endless calm sea, with a sun setting on the horizon illuminating the sky above. The domain ends when the sun fully sets.

Battles and Events

Troy was the sole survivor of the Incident.
